Continuous Behavioral Observation
(CBO)

As an employer, how can you be sure that your current workforce is truly stable? Are you able to identify the warning signs when an employee is struggling—whether due to personal issues or workplace stress? Can you afford to assume that everything is fine? And what are the consequences if it's not?

Blue Smoke

Employers can be caught off guard by the actions of an employee experiencing physical or mental stresses that may result in adverse incidents affecting the safety of other workers, the company itself, and the community. Work performance errors, employee conflicts, sabotage, theft, violence—all become possibilities. When potentially volatile situations arise, it is a company’s responsibility to take corrective action, protect workers from harm, and avoid accusations of negligence.

That is why effective Continuous Behavioral Observation (CBO) training is critical to the overall safety and performance of any business. Our CBO training program teaches employers to observe, document and address potential behavioral changes in employees BEFORE the situation becomes critical.

This training gives management/supervisory employees the tools to:

1. Observe changes in behavior which may adversely affect trustworthiness, reliability, and job performance.

2. Discuss these concerns with the employee.

3. Refer them for intervention.
